Down the memory hole—Where are the assasination teams?

Uncategorized Comments (0)

In mid August Fox reported extensively on a story (first issued by the AP’s Pamela Hess), based entirely on anonymous sources, about hordes of “Iraqi Shiite assassination teams” being trained by Iran to commit mass assassinations of Iraqi officials and American troops.  For example of August 15, Fox’s Bret Baier:

A senior U.S. military official tells FOX News that Iraqi Shiite assassination teams are being trained in at least four locations inside Iran.

Various forms of intelligence gathering are revealing that the fighters are planning to target Iraqi officials as well as American and Iraqi troops.  They are expected, we hear, to return to Iraq between now and October, according to officials.
