Hagee’s Radical and Ignorant Views on Jews

Uncategorized Comments (4)

Pastor John Hagee’s group Christian’s United for Israel (CUFI) is holding their annual summit July 21-24. The summit will feature many anti-Iranian speakers such as Patrick Clawson, Daniel Pipes, William Kristol and Frank Gaffney—the summit’s keynote speaker will be senator Joseph Lieberman.

The Jewish group jewsonfirst.org who is opposed to the “growing strength of the Christian right and the accelerating pace of its theocratic agenda” has compiled an excellent, short documentary of Pastor John Hagee’s preposterous views on Jews and Judaism. Jim Lobe points out:

It’s the best documentation of Hagee’s views on the subject that I’ve seen to date and should thoroughly embarrass the Summit’s keynote speaker, Sen. Joseph Lieberman, not to mention the many neo-conservatives — Bill Kristol, Clifford May, Frank Gaffney, Daniel Pipes, Charles Jacobs, and Dennis Prager, among others — who will be featured at the Summit as “some of the most influential leaders and thinkers in Washington.” Their message will then be carried to lawmakers all over Capitol Hill by the thousands of attendees from all around the country. Kristol’s best buddy, Gary Bauer, as well as Iran hawk, Patrick Clawson of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy (WINEP), former Sen. Rick Santorum, and Reps. Elliot Engel and Mike Pence, will also be on the agenda which you can find here.

J Street says: “Don’t go Joe!”

Even after Sen. McCain renounced Pastor John Hagee’s endorsement in May, Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) is still standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Pastor Hagee, the man who preaches Hitler was only doing God’s bidding. Watch the video  on the left — Joe Lieberman calls Hagee “a man of God” at Hagee’s group’s conference last year. Then, join the tens of thousands of Americans who have signed our “Don’t Go, Joe” petition and tell Sen. Lieberman to withdraw his commitment to speak at Hagee’s Israel Summit next week.
