The Kyl-Lieberman amendment passed in the Senate with a vote of 76-22. Senators Biden, Bingaman, Boxer, Brown, Byrd, Cantwell, Dodd, Feingold, Hagel, Harkin, Inouye, Kerry, Klobuchar, Lincoln, Lugar, Sanders, Tester, Webb and Wyden were among those who voted against the amendment, which critics say will push the US and Iran closer to confrontation.
